Description Water sharpening stone #1000 Naniwa Super Stone (210x70x20)
Designed for sharpening the cutting edge of the back surface (support surface) of barber scissors blade with classic blade shape and "convex" blade shape, sharpening the cutting edge of hunting, household, chef knives made of steels of different hardness, including soft stainless.
Naniwa Super Stone water stones are high-quality abrasives, with soft metal removal and resistance to wear.
The stones are in constant high demand due to their low price, wide range of applications, abrasion resistance and long service life.
These stones have softer metal removal than Naniwa Professional Stone (Chosera), allow sharpening steels of high hardness (63-67 HRC) and brittle knives of AOGAMI, SHIROGAMI and ZDP-189 steels.
Thanks to the high content of aluminum oxide crystals, the sharpening process is quick and with minimal risk of damage to the cutting edge. The ability to remove traces of rough treatment and sufficiently soft metal removal make this series a leader among water stones.
Advantages of Naniwa Super Stone water stones:
1. They do not require a long soaking. The surface of the stone, immediately ready for use. Only room temperature water is needed for moistening and washing;
2. High abrasive grit content enables quick sharpening results;
3. Resistant to the appearance of workings, due to the density of the binder composition;
4. Resistant to mechanical damage;
5. Perfectly sharpens tools of hardened carbon and powder steel with increased hardness.
The Super Stone series was developed by NANIWA for the Japanese domestic market.
Stones above 5000 grit contain special substances in their bond that provide chemical effect on the surface oxide of the knife's metal, enhancing the polishing effect of the approach.
The S2 Super-Stone mark, is twice as thick (20 mm), which enhances durability and longevity for many years, which can be compared with the Professional series.
The stone should be soaked in water for 2-10 min before use.
Direct purchase of water stones directly from the manufacturer guarantees the quality of products.
For stable positioning of the water stones at the workplace we recommend to purchase a universal holder for water stones.
If the stone is used intensively, it may show signs of efflorescence. To smooth the surface of the water stone, a stone dressing stone #100 is used.
On our website you can buy additional and consumables for sharpening tools without worrying about quality.
If necessary, you can study to work on the machine both face-to-face at the International Academy of Sharpening ADEMS, and remotely via the Internet or video courses.
